About this work
The work begins with rounded frames arranged like pages, with colour held along their curved inner edges. Almost closed, the warm-white layers reveal only a narrow arc. As they turn in sequence, blue, green and pink join into a stream emerging from within.
Throughout the eight-second cycle, colour stays attached to the surfaces. Changing occlusion gives the white spines and coloured cavity distinct rhythms, shifting the apparent weight of the same form as it closes and opens.
