Refill Line

An agent that asks when it is not sure.

Ask again when speech is unclear or a medicine is uncertain. Using fictional prescription-refill calls, this experiment explores how speech understanding, model judgment, and deterministic rules can work together.

An experimental prototype using fictional patients and demonstration data.

About the project

“My blood pressure medicine” is not enough to complete a prescription refill. Refill Line centers these moments of uncertainty: a model helps interpret the caller’s words, rules handle identity, refill counts, and dates, and the agent asks follow-up questions when information is missing.

What you can do

  1. Describe a request by voice, identifying ambiguous medicine names and wording that needs clarification.
  2. Keep model judgment separate from deterministic checks of identity, refill counts, and dates.
  3. Stop automated processing when the judgment service is unavailable or information is insufficient.

Where it stands

An experimental prototype made for a hackathon, using fictional patients and demonstration data. It is not connected to a real pharmacy, provides no medical advice, and does not represent clinical or production use.
