Long Night Hotel

Every room holds a different night.

Welcome guests and assign rooms by day, then patrol the corridors after dark, looking for clues in their belongings and words. A browser mystery game prototype.

A mystery game prototype; a desktop browser with a mouse and keyboard is recommended.

About the project

The hotel’s front desk is where you begin to know someone. You see their luggage, hear a request, and decide which key to give them. At night, those daytime arrangements become situations you must walk into and face yourself.

What you can do

  1. Observe guests’ belongings, talk with them, and assign them to fixed rooms.
  2. Patrol the corridors at night, seeking clues through peepholes, sounds, and changes in the surroundings.
  3. Respond to conflicts between guests by intervening yourself or asking someone to keep an eye on things.

Where it stands

An online browser prototype includes fixed rooms, character movement, and front-desk and corridor scenes. Storytelling, character responses, and overall pacing are still being refined.

Scenes and characters include AI-assisted assets; some personal belongings use openly licensed models.
