Narrative puzzle game · In development
Cuoxia
Look around. Move one thing. Notice what changes.
Turn, observe, and move objects in rooms of vermilion and ink black, tracing cause and effect through subtle changes. An independent narrative puzzle game undergoing a rework.
The current integrated playtest; the rework of later levels is still in development.

About the project
Each of a room’s four sides holds objects worth examining. Something you do on one side may change what you see on another. Cuoxia lets its story gradually emerge through spatial exploration, relationships between objects, and changes from day to night.
What you can do
- Turn toward different walls and examine the tea table, cabinet, window, dressing table, and other objects up close.
- Pick up, place, and compare objects, watching for changes elsewhere in the room.
- Use new clues to reconsider the relationships between visitors, objects, and the room.
Where it stands
In development. The first level has the foundations for exploring objects on all four sides; later levels are being reworked in the same direction, and the full story is not yet connected.
