PERSONAL TOOL / LOCAL AI

Codex Mobile BridgeA little distance from the desk.

A personal remote for Codex: read a response, send the next task, or handle an approval from your phone while the work stays on your computer.

A coding task can keep running after I leave the desk. The next thing it needs from me may be small: read the result, answer a question, or decide whether a command should run. Codex Mobile Bridge puts those moments within reach of a phone.

The Moment Behind It

The question behind this project is simple: how much of a development session do I need on a smaller screen? A useful first version lets me follow the conversation, make a decision and return to the task without bringing the whole desktop with me.

A Focused Remote

The phone view starts with Codex’s response. Command and file activity is available when needed. I can send another task, switch sessions, approve or decline a pending request, and stop the active turn. The interaction stays centered on the work that needs attention.

What Stays on the Computer

The computer runs Codex and keeps the project files, tools and credentials. The bridge connects a phone browser to that local session over a trusted network or private VPN. The computer needs to remain awake while it works.

This is a personal tool, shared so its approach can be read, used and adapted. The repository contains the setup instructions and current limitations.

THE IDEA I’M EXPLORING

A small way to stay involved when I step away from the desk.
